POSITION SUMMARY

Analyze credit data and financial statements of individuals or firms to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Prepare reports with credit information for use in decision making.

 Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Perform detailed process reviews to determine potential and current risk exposures related to credit functions.
  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history, and purchase activity.
  • Consult with customers to resolve complaints and verify financial and credit transactions.
  • Participate in the process for developing and understanding the aggregate level of credit risk across the enterprise.
  • Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Support processes for monitoring and reporting the effectiveness of the credit risk control environment.
  • Review individual or commercial customer files to identify and select delinquent accounts for collection.
  • Confer with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information.
  • Complete credit applications, including credit analyses and summaries of credit requests, and submit to credit committees for approval.
  • Knowledge of loan risk ratings, regulatory guidance, and accounting principles.
  • Identify credit risk loss events and associated data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (four year college) Required, Field of Study: Accounting, Finance, or Business related field

Experience:

3 plus years of experience in Credit Administration

Computer Skills:

 

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
